(#5) EMINENTLY HANOVER – trainer Johnny Crites claimed this guy back recently & promptly drew the 8-hole. From that post he still generated a group best adj closing quarter of 28.2. Better post today.

(#2) DIBABA N – it took me a while to remember that SOMEONE has to win this race. I’ll stick with best adj closing number so that means DIBABA N (28.4) taken July 31.

(#2) NAPALM – returns from the Big M & the “Shady Daisy”. Only visible Philly start was a beauty & included a +7 middle move on the way to the win. Down to her & #3 LUCKYLADY HANOVER, in my mind.
Race 6
8-3-7-1
(#8) WISHIWASAROCKSTAR – draws outside but her one & only start was a good one. That 27.4 closing number is the top mark for these but Ahle likely will need to leave for position to make the win a reality.

(#5) ENTER SANDMAN – it was an eye-catching win last time against easier. Porter returns for the drive & the pair produced the best closing number in here, from that last race, 27.1.

(#8) YOUCANCALLME DAISY – has been racing pretty well over at The Meadowlands plus if we go right to the bottom of the program we have two Philly races to use. Has some speed & once again this mare is the best closer in here based on the 28.4 adj closing quarter back on June 5. We’ll need some Ahle early hustle once again.

(#5) MINETTO HANOVER – Montrell Teague is with us this afternoon & has a few “good” ones including this 2YO filly. Shows a 28 flat closing number in her lone start which is 2nd to only #1 WHIMSY HANOVER. I was full of WHIMSY last week before she exploded so today she drops to 2nd choice for me off the break.

(#6) BET ON MOOKIE- here’s Teague again & this time driving a horse he owns & bred. BETT ON MOOKIE opened up to win his qualifier by 9 ½ lengths. Capable of winning at first asking.

(#8) YOULLFINDOUT – been racing OK against better over at Yonkers. Comes out of high performing Nik Drennan barn & just needs to handle post 8.
Race 12

(#3) BEEVILLE – just about wired the opposition in his only start here at Philly on June 26. Showed easily the best speed that day (55.3). I’m on Teague, yet again & expect him to take this one gate to wire.

(#6) MICK STEAMY – it’s a short field & we may just settle in until late then use that 27 flat closing quarter to get the job done. Yet another driver change so hopefully Foster will bring something new & positive. This is a good spot.

(8) GIGGLINGONTHEBEACH – this makes five 8-holes for my selections today & that’s certainly not like me. I like to simply play the best horses, wherever they line up, but it doesn’t take long for a trip to go sideways when we’re dealing with those tougher outside draws. Still, this mare rolled gate to wire last time at the same level & has all the tools. Best speed (54.0) & 2nd best closing number (27.4) & only 2 ticks behind top closer #3 PERFIDIOUS CROWN. It’s a deep bunch so no gimme but this one rates top billing,
